The New Year has begun and wow, all of you have really stepped up your game! The new players and the veterans are running the club ragged. We aren't complaining, we love it! We love to see our veteran members setting new goals and challenges for themselves. Our goal is to turn all of the new members into veterans and help them get over the 90 day hump. Yes, they are in love with the idea of the new person that they can become, but this honeymoon stage will wain, and they will have to push through the "ughs" and "I don't feel like going today" days! If you hang with us and stick it out, you will be so proud of yourself and you will have officially developed a habit. This is a good habit, not one of those other bad habits. This is one that will create friendships, triumphs, challenges, success, and sometimes sanity!
Holiday Killers were, of course, killer! Every killer workout was an extra workout on top of your normal routine. Our top participants had upwards of 17 killer workouts. Yes, 17 extra workouts in 6 weeks. Congratulations to Jenn M. and Jan. K who kicked some serious booty on this year's killer challenge. I will have to come up with some new ways to torture you guys next Holiday season.
Evening Zumba has arrived! Get here early on Tue/Thurs at 5:45pm to get your spot. We are limited to the first 30 people. Sara teaches an amazing class that you don't want to miss! If the early bird special is more your style then checkout Cardio Sculpt with Kris on MWF mornings at 6:00am. Kris is also taking over the mid morning Zumba class on M/W at 10:15am. We also have a new Cardio Kickboxing class with Joann starting Feb. 5th on Saturday mornings at 9:30am. We have got you covered if you are looking for a class, NO EXCUSES. Pick-up a complete schedule at the front desk.
Race season is approaching. Now, is the time to look at the race calendars and schedules and pick your challenges for the upcoming season. Once you have picked your races, it is time to create a training schedule. There are so many websites that can help you create a training schedule that will work for you, whether you are training for your first event or trying to get faster. These sites will help you develop a training schedule for walking, running, biking, and even walking and running. Again, the internet has the info you need or you can talk to a staff member who might be able to point you in the direction you need. NO EXCUSES!
Meet the Challenge has kicked off again. The challenge is $20.00 and there are different point options to choose from. This is a great way of keeping track of your weekly exercise and a little motivation to get your fanny in gear on these rainy winter days. Check out the flier at the front desk for complete information.
To finish up, I have had many people approach me about protein drinks. Okay, okay, okay...we now have three options stocked in the refrigerator at the front desk. We have big ones, small ones, chocolate ones, cookie and cream ones, 20gram ones, and 40 gram ones. So get out to the desk and buy one and leave me alone. HaHa!
TaTa for now and NO EXCUSES!
